New Program Starting in 2008!!

Ballroom Dance Instructors' Academy
We are very proud to announce that First Step Dance will be expanding and starting a new venture in 2008. The Ballroom Dance Instructors' Academy will be focused on training new instructors how to dance with technique, how to effectively teach ballroom dancing to students, and how to begin a career as a dance professional. This teacher training program will be based on Diane Jarmolow's Ballroom Dance Teachers College; a program that is in use at over 30 different ballroom studios in the US and Canada.

The class will meet for four hours each week, from 5-7pm on Monday and from 5-7pm on Thursday. The program will provide 16 hours of teacher training classes per month and the tuition will also allow free admittance to all FSD classes, dances and practice sessions. This means a great savings for any avid student who pays full price for classes.

Even if you aren't interested in becoming a dance instructor, this program would also be a great way to learn ballroom more intensively, and to learn the valuable skill of leading and following all 17 social dances.
