First Step Dance offers group classes, private lessons and weekend workshops. Find out about different dance styles, review steplists and see what's going on in your dance community.

Regular Events

Weekly Classes
Each month we teach weekly classes in Burlington and Shelburne. These classes cover three dances over the course of four weeks. To see next months schedule, please visit our Lessons page.

Monthly Dances
We hold dances on the Second Friday of each month at The Champlain Club in Burlington. Each dance begins at 7pm with two 30-minute lessons, and open dancing continues until 11pm. For more details, please visit our Lessons page.

Special Events

Weekend Dance Workshop with Ian Folker 2009
Ian Folker, a German and Eastern United States Pro Latin and 10-Dance Champion will returned to Vermont on July 18th and 19th, 2009. He will teach a variety of Bronze and Silver level workshops in American Style Rhythm and Smooth dances. He will also teach a Bolero Lesson at our Saturday evening dance. Camp Ta-Kum-Ta 2009
On Saturday, November 7th 2009, we will host the "Sixth Annual Camp Ta-Kum-Ta Benefit Partner Dance Showcase" to support Camp Ta-Kum-Ta, Vermonts cancer camp for kids. See details...
